The annual Stadtfest Goldberg is one of the most important summer Volksfests in the region between Parchim, Lübz, and the Mecklenburg Lake District. For three days, the sports field on Parkstraße is transformed into a festival mile: stage program with live music, amusement rides, food stalls, hands-on activities for families and children, and evening parties until late at night. A traditional event in the heart of Mecklenburg, bringing together the community of the small town and surrounding villages.

Stadtfest 2026 — Three Festival Days in Goldberg

In 2026, the Sportplatz an der Parkstraße will once again be transformed into a large festival mile from July 24 to 26. As in previous years, visitors can expect a varied program of live music, amusement rides, showmen, food stalls, and family activities.

As usual, local clubs (fire department, sports club, shooting club) will be running catering and game stalls. The highlight on Saturday evening will be the main concert stage with a top regional band.

Friday, July 24, 2026 — Festival opening in the afternoon by the Mayor of Goldberg, live music in the evening, disco / dance night until midnight.
Saturday, July 25, 2026 — Main festival day with family program during the day (face painting, bouncy castle, games), stage program with cover bands in the afternoon, main concert in the evening, disco until 1 AM.
Sunday, July 26, 2026 — Morning pint with a brass band, family afternoon, festival winding down in the late afternoon.

Getting There

Goldberg is located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, approx. 25 km east of Lübz. By car via the B392 / B321. By train (Goldberg station, RB connection). The Sportplatz an der Parkstraße is within walking distance of the train station.

Summer Festival in a Mecklenburg Small Town

Goldberg is located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, nestled between the Goldberger See and the flat hinterland of the Mecklenburg Lake District. With around 3,000 inhabitants, the town is manageable – but when the Stadtfest takes place, visitors come from all over southern Mecklenburg: from Lübz, Plau am See, Parchim, Crivitz, and Brüel. For three days, Goldberg is the center of the region.

The Festival Grounds and Atmosphere

The Stadtfest takes place on the Sportplatz an der Parkstraße – a large grassy area that is transformed into a festival mile for three days. The main stage is in the center, with a dance floor and seating areas in front of it. Along the edges, you'll find amusement rides (carousel, Ferris wheel, chain carousel, bumper cars, children's rides), showman stalls (shooting gallery, lottery sales, candy stall), and food stalls offering bratwurst, fries, fish rolls, crêpes, potato pancakes, ice cream, and candied almonds.

Friday: Festival opening in the late afternoon, followed by a live concert with a regional band, and disco or dance evening in the evening.
