After the one-year break in 2025, the Amtsrock team confirms its comeback: from June 19th to 21st, 2026, Goldberg will once again become the small festival capital of Mecklenburg. Three days instead of two as in previous years — an extended weekend with more programming, more bands, and more time for community.
The complete lineup will be announced gradually in the months leading up to the festival. The team communicates via the official website amtsrock-goldberg.de as well as via Facebook and newsletters.

A Festival with Substance — Deep in the Heart of Mecklenburg
Goldberg is a small town of 3,000 inhabitants in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, located directly on the Goldberger See – one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District. For young people in the region, the local music scene has gained immense importance over the decades: with Amtsrock, residents of Goldberg have been building a festival since 2009 that combines regional music with national punk rock, ska, and indie bands. The organizers are the Evangelical Church Community of Goldberg-Dobbertin in close cooperation with the volunteer team Amtsrock and support from the Nordkirche (North Church).
The Concept: DIY Culture and Community
Amtsrock differs from commercial festivals in several ways. Firstly, the organization is entirely volunteer-based: no one profits from the festival; proceeds go towards the next edition and local cultural initiatives. The atmosphere is deliberately familiar and open – younger and older generations celebrate together. The musical spectrum is broad: punk rock, ska, indie rock, folk, alternative rock, sometimes also electronic sets or spoken-word contributions.
The Social Ticket Pricing Model
A special feature that has become rare in the German festival landscape: Amtsrock operates with a tiered ticket pricing model. There are several price categories – from a reduced 'solidarity' tier for low-income individuals and students to a 'support' tier for visitors who wish to support the festival financially. This ensures the festival remains accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. The advance sale for 2026 has started; exact price categories will be communicated on the festival website.
Pausing in 2025, Returning in 2026
Due to increased operating costs and a reorganization of the team, Amtsrock took a break in 2025 – a conscious decision not to compromise the concept due to financial constraints. The festival returns in 2026: from June 19th to 21st, 2026, three days instead of two, an extended weekend by the Goldberger See.
Logistics and Camping
There is no festival-owned campsite directly on the grounds – a deliberate decision to avoid ecological strain on the Goldberger See. Partner campsites in the immediate vicinity (Camping Hubert, Camping am Goldberger See) offer overnight accommodations. Travel by train to Goldberg, then a short walk or shuttle to the festival grounds.
