Summer Festival in the West Allgäu
The Stadt- und Kinderfest Lindenberg im Allgäu takes place annually in the summer in the city centre of Lindenberg, a town in the West Allgäu region. Lindenberg is located in the district of Lindau (Bodensee) in southern Bavaria and is known as the 'hat town' – a large proportion of German straw hat production was once manufactured here.

The festival is explicitly aimed at young and old: children's activities, sports and hands-on events, a stage programme with music and dance, as well as culinary stalls run by Lindenberg's clubs. Admission is free.
Organised by the Sportbeirat
The organiser is the Sportbeirat Lindenberg, which traditionally involves local clubs in the festival. Lindenberg's sports clubs, music bands, and youth groups provide a stage and activity programme throughout the day.
West Allgäu as a Backdrop
With views of the nearby Pfänder mountain and the Nagelfluh chain, Lindenberg is a popular summer retreat destination in the Allgäu. The Stadt- und Kinderfest combines urban festival celebrations with rural Allgäu cosiness – an occasion that brings together locals and summer holidaymakers.
