The Herrentags Open Air Schwerin, held under the motto »Und draußen tanzt der Bär« (And the Bear Dances Outside), is the traditional Ascension Day open-air event for the electronic music scene in the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The organizer is the Schwerin-based event agency ME Events, which has established the series since 2013. The thirteenth edition will take place in 2026.

The open-air stage in Schwerin's palace gardens — an amphitheater built in the 1930s overlooking the Burgsee lake — offers an extraordinary natural backdrop for a major event on Ascension Day. Around 5,000 dancers can find space in the hollow and enjoy the view of the neighboring Schwerin Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2024).

On May 14, 2026, ME Events invites you to the 13th edition of Schwerin's Father's Day Open Air. Nine hours of dancing, sunset over the Burgsee lake, and a lineup connecting Italian techno stars with the Mecklenburg club scene will define the day. Around 5,000 guests are expected on the steps of the open-air stage.

Getting There
The open-air stage is located in the palace gardens, easily accessible on foot from Schwerin main station (approx. 20 minutes) or by NVS bus lines. Parking is available at Bertha-Klingberg-Platz and in the city area.
