About Feldberger Karneval

The Feldberger Karneval Klub (FKK) is one of the oldest carnival-celebrating clubs in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: for over 60 years, it has shaped carnival in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft. In the 2025/2026 season, the club is organizing at least eight sessions – including senior carnival, children's carnival, major carnival sessions at the Waldhotel Stieglitzenkrug, and the traditional Rose Monday parade with around 30 floats on February 16, 2026, at Weidendamm Feldberg.

About the Event

The Feldberger Karneval Klub e. V. (FKK) keeps the Fasching and Carnival culture alive in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft – an unusual carnival tradition in the Protestant-Northern German region. The club was founded in the early 1960s after Johannes Hübner, then manager of a holiday home, initiated the tradition.

Motto and Identity

The characteristic motto is: »Schlaewitzberg Huneu« – an acronym for the six districts Schlicht, Laeven, Carwitz, Feldberg, Hullerbusch, and Neuhof.

Events and Season Structure

The club organizes at least eight dates per season:

  • Opening with key handover and show program
  • Several major Carnival sessions at the Waldhotel Stieglitzenkrug
  • Senior Carnival with reduced admission
  • Children's Carnival for the club's youth
  • Rose Monday Parade as the highlight – approx. 30 floats, parade through Feldberg

The club has 78 adult members and 56 children and young people, with its own dance groups, formations, soloists, and stage performers.

Regional Context

Rhineland Carnival has no traditional roots in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – the regional variant of Carnival exists in a reduced form beyond a few carnival clubs. The Feldberger Karneval Klub is one of the few clubs in the state that has maintained a continuous, professional carnival culture for decades, thus being culturally influential in its region.

Feldberger Karneval — edition 2026

The 2025/2026 carnival season of the Feldberger Karneval Klub runs from January to February 2026 with at least eight sessions at the Waldhotel Stieglitzenkrug. The highlight is the traditional Rose Monday parade on February 16, 2026, at 2 PM at Weidendamm Feldberg with approximately 30 floats and a subsequent celebration.

The 2025/2026 season of the Feldberger Karneval Klub traditionally opened on November 11, 2025. Over several weeks, the major carnival sessions, senior carnival, and children's carnival follow at the Waldhotel Stieglitzenkrug.

The highlight is the Rose Monday Parade on February 16, 2026, at 2 PM, starting at Weidendamm in Feldberg. Approximately 30 floats, dance groups, and musicians will parade through the town, followed by a large celebration with refreshments. In total, the club organizes at least eight events during the season, all supported by the club life with 78 adult and 56 youth members.

Tickets for the sessions are available through the club: [email protected] or Tel. 039831 183277. The Rose Monday parade itself is freely accessible as a street procession.
