Annual Health and Movement Week in the Kneipp Health Resort Feldberg
The Feldberg lake district has been a state-recognized Kneipp health resort for years – the only one between Berlin and Rostock. With the annual Kneippwoche, the spa administration bundles its offerings into a cohesive experience: a week of health, movement, mindfulness, and nature knowledge in one of Northern Germany's quietest lake landscapes.
Characteristic components include:
The Kneippwoche is much more than a Volksfest (folk festival) – it showcases the local care of Kneipp methods. This also makes the Feldberg lake district in the Mecklenburg Lake District a unique travel destination in northern Germany: active recreation in a region usually associated with the Mecklenburg lake idyll and Hans Fallada.
The organizer is the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Spa Administration. The contact point is the Haus des Gastes at Strelitzer Straße 42 in Feldberg, reachable at Tel. 039831 2700 or [email protected].
From Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, the 8th edition of the Feldberger Kneippwoche will take place. The Feldberger Seenlandschaft spa administration bundles the best of the Feldberg Kneipp health resort into a cohesive program for this week.
The core consists of a gentle hike through the spa forest with stations for water-treading in the lake, mindfulness exercises, singing bowls, and arm shower basins in the forest. Additionally, there are PMR courses (Progressive Muscle Relaxation), Drums Alive sessions, and guided mushroom foraging hikes where the collected mushrooms are discussed – with tips on identification, preparation, and active ingredients.
Accompanying the event are an information booth from the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park and a seed exchange with the BUND group Feldberg, inviting participation. The Haus des Gastes at Strelitzer Straße 42 serves as the contact point and registration center.
