What You'll Find at the Market

The over 30 exhibitors bring woodwork, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, soaps, baked goods, and much more — short distances, no mass tourism, personal contact with the craftspeople. In addition, there are food stalls, coffee, cake, and drinks (beer and wine). The repair café offers free bicycle repairs before the season begins — a very North German idea that has become a tradition in Schafflund.

The market is organised by the municipality of Schafflund. Unlike the large arts and crafts markets in Husum, Niebüll, or Flensburg, the Schafflund format is more intimate, more village-like — and clearly anchored in the border region through the vintage car show and the German-Danish church service.
