Club Festival in the Bavarian Forest

Achslach is a small municipality in the Regen district, located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest near the Czech border and the National Park. SV Achslach e.V. is the central club of the town and has been organizing the sports and summer festival for decades – a festival that is considered a reliable summer event in the ARBERLAND tourism region (Regen district).

Sports Meet Summer Festival

The combination of a sporting event and a folk festival is characteristic: A small-sided football tournament is held during the festival weekend, with local amateur teams and club teams from neighboring towns participating. In parallel, the festival tent opens with folk music bands, along with a children's carousel, shooting gallery, and snack stands.

Music from the Bavarian Forest

The musical program follows the Bavarian tavern and folk music tradition: Bands like De Bergratzn, the Stoapfälzer Spitzbuam, the Grenzland-Duo, and the Hinterwaidler provide dancing and atmosphere in the festival tent. Local brass bands also perform regularly. The repertoire ranges from folk music and Schlager to party classics.

Achslach belongs to the ARBERLAND holiday region, centered around the Großer Arber, the highest peak in Lower Bavaria.
