Zweibrücken kunstvoll — Open-Air Art Event

Concept of the Weekend

“Zweibrücken kunstvoll” is an initiative by the city and Gemeinsamhandel Zweibrücken, activating the city center as a creative and commercial space in spring. The combination of an open-air art event, Sunday shopping, and a photo shoot at the Fashion Outlet positions Zweibrücken as a fashion and cultural destination beyond regional borders.

Saturday, May 16 — Art Open-Air

On Saturday, visual artists and craftspeople are invited to present their works directly in the pedestrian zone. Painting, sculpture, photography, and crafts meet passersby; on-site sales are encouraged. The city provides booth spaces and logistics; registration is handled in advance through Gemeinsamhandel.

Sunday, May 17 — Sunday Shopping and Thomas Hayo

Sunday combines Sunday shopping (1 PM–6 PM) with a special highlight: Thomas Hayo — known as a juror on “Germany's next Topmodel,” among other roles — will be creating an editorial photo shoot at the Zweibrücken Fashion Outlet. Customers and visitors can experience the shoot live and discover fashion highlights at the outlet.

Flea Market at Herzogplatz

Parallel to the main program in the pedestrian zone, the flea market takes place at Herzogplatz throughout the weekend — both Saturday and Sunday, all day. Private individuals and hobby traders offer bric-a-brac, collectibles, and household goods.

Weather Contingency

As a predominantly open-air event, “Zweibrücken kunstvoll” is weather-dependent. In case of extreme weather conditions, individual program points may be postponed or relocated.
