The Spexarder Weinmarkt is a lovingly staged small wine festival on the outskirts of the city of Gütersloh, organized by the St. Hubertus Schützenbruderschaft Spexard — a special format alongside the club's traditional marksmen's festival. 2026 marks the sixth edition, proven and popular in the Gütersloh district.

Date and Opening Hours 2026

Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, 2026. The market opens at 5:30 PM on both days and runs late into the evening. May weather between sunset and a starry night — perfect for outdoor enjoyment.

Spexarder Farmhouse as the Stage

The venue is the historic Spexarder Bauernhaus (Spexard Farmhouse) at Lukasstraße 14 in Gütersloh-Spexard. The listed half-timbered building and the surrounding barn with old trees and stables form an exceptionally atmospheric backdrop — wine and wooden beams, fairy lights between the trees, long tables with guests from Spexard and the surrounding area.

Carefully Selected Organic Wines

Unlike commercial wine markets, Spexard focuses on organic wines in a curated selection — rather small quality winemakers from German growing regions and selected European lines. From Riesling to Rivaner and Spätburgunder to Spanish and Portuguese lines.

Culinary Accompaniments

The culinary accompaniments match the wine:

• Cheese — various degrees of maturity, local and international specialties
• Homemade lard bread — the marksmen's association serves it themselves
• Tarte flambée — fresh from the wood-fired oven
• Grapes as a snack
• Portuguese specialties — Bacalhau, Pasteis de Nata, small tapas bites, in cooperation with the local Portuguese community

Children's Area with Bouncy Castle

So that families can also enjoy wine, there is a children's area with a bouncy castle right next to the farmhouse. The little ones romp around, the adults taste — the concept has been working for five years.

Spexard, Gütersloh

Spexard is a district in the south of Gütersloh with an agricultural and village character. The St. Hubertus Schützenbruderschaft is a central social institution here. With the wine market, it complements the traditional marksmen's festival with a modern, cosmopolitan summer format — organic, fair, Portuguese-connected.
