A New House Festival for Landshut
The Sound of Summer Festival is a new two-day house open-air event on the Ringelstecherwiese in Landshut. Organized by the Mr.-Initiative, led by Alexander Dersch, the festival brings relaxed house music to an urban summer setting. Several DJs provide the soundtrack, with the technical setup deliberately designed for a pleasant, moderate volume.
Free Entry for Everyone
Admission to the main festival is free and open to all – visitors can come without a ticket and enjoy the music under the open sky. Various drinks and food stalls cater to your culinary needs, allowing for a relaxed day. On Saturday evening, there will be an official afterparty for which tickets are required.

The Sound of Summer Festival is part of the Landshut Summer of Culture, which transforms the Lower Bavarian city into an open-air stage from May to September with over 90 open-air events from 16 different organizers. The spectrum ranges from the Landestheater Niederbayern to jazz festivals and dance events.

Landshut is the capital of Lower Bavaria and is located on the Isar river in the district of the same name in Bavaria. The Ringelstecherwiese on the riverbank is an established open-air venue in the city.
Sound of Summer — edition 2026
The Sound of Summer Festival 2026 will take place as its premiere on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, from 2 PM to 9 PM each day on the Ringelstecherwiese in Landshut.
Several DJs will play relaxed house music at a deliberately pleasant volume; drinks and food stalls will provide refreshments. Admission to the main festival is free. On Saturday evening, there will be an official afterparty requiring tickets. The event is organized by the Mr.-Initiative as part of the Landshut Summer of Culture.

Getting There
Landshut is located on the A92 motorway and is easily accessible via Landshut main train station. The Ringelstecherwiese is situated on the banks of the Isar river; arrival on foot or by bike from the city center is recommended.
Admission
Main festival is free, no ticket needed. Tickets are required for the afterparty on Saturday evening (via mr.landshut on Instagram).
