About Day of the Associations Frankenthal
The Day of the Associations Frankenthal is a comparatively young format developed by the city administration together with the Stadtjugendring (City Youth Council) and the initiative of athletes to make association life more visible. Embedded in the five-day Autumn Spectacle, it utilizes the high visitor frequency of the Rathausplatz to attract new members, volunteers, and donors.
Participating associations range from gymnastics clubs and scouts to the volunteer fire brigade and the German Red Cross (DRK), as well as cultural associations like the Frankenthal Men's Choir or the Carnival Club. Each association receives a free stand and can also include a short presentation, a sports demonstration, or a musical contribution on stage.
Participation is explicitly encouraged
Children and young people in particular will find numerous hands-on stations: a throwing booth by the sports club, a first-aid demonstration by the DRK, knot-tying skills by the scouts, a mini-concert by the music club. The organizers aim to show in an accessible way what volunteering entails.
Embedded in the Autumn Spectacle
Visitors to the Day of the Associations will find the ongoing Autumn Spectacle program all around them: an autumn market with rides, a beer garden, and stage concerts in the evening. This makes it easy to combine a visit to the associations with a full day at the festival.
Day of the Associations Frankenthal — edition 2026
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in late summer. The structure will follow the proven cornerstones of previous years.
During the four hours, short association presentations will alternate on the main stage: dance formations, sports demonstrations, choirs, music clubs. At the stands around the stage, there will be hands-on activities, information material, and small culinary offerings from the associations.

The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in late summer. The structure will follow the proven cornerstones of previous years:
- 12:00 PM: Official opening with a welcome address from the city administration on the main stage.
- 12:15 PM to 4:00 PM: Association stands around the Rathausplatz with information material, hands-on activities, and small sales offers.
- Hourly stage performances: Dance groups (TV Frankenthal, dance school), music clubs, choirs (1. Frankenthaler Männerchor), DRK first-aid demo, fire brigade demonstration.
- Children's Zone: Scout knot-tying, throwing booth, skill games.
- From 2:00 PM: Transition to the subsequent program of the Autumn Spectacle with concerts.
Additional daily program as part of the Autumn Spectacle: Autumn market with rides and beer garden open all day.
