Free open-air concert series on the lake promenade
Musik am See is one of the most accessible summer formats in Krakow am See: ten to twelve concert dates spread throughout the summer, every Wednesday between early June and the end of August, always from 7 to 9 PM and always free. The venue is the idyllic lake promenade on Krakow Lake — one of the most beautiful stages in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
The focus of the series is on emerging bands and regional musicians. The spectrum ranges from singer-songwriter sets and brass music to small band formats. A recurring highlight is the performance by Mr. Viehstaedt in festive uniform with a trumpet solo, a familiar sight for regular attendees of the series.
The concerts take place in a relaxed open-air setting. Those who wish to sit are best advised to bring a blanket or a folding chair; individual seating on the promenade supplements the available options. Nearby snack stands provide drinks and small snacks.
Musik am See complements the event calendar of the town of Krakow am See between the Old Town Festival in June, the Fishermen's Festival in August, and the Christmas Market in December. Updates on the series can be found at krakow-am-see.m-vp.de and in the event calendar at auf-nach-mv.de.
