Huy-Neinstedt on the Edge of the Huy Forest
Huy-Neinstedt is located in the Harz district in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, on the southwestern edge of the Huy forest — a wooded ridge between Halberstadt and Wernigerode. The village has belonged to the larger municipality of Huy since 2010. Within reach: Wernigerode Castle, the medieval old town of Halberstadt, the Huysburg Monastery.
SommerSonnenwende Huy-Neinstedt — edition 2026
The 2026 summer solstice festival follows the established concept of the Huy-Neinstedt district: two evenings on the village green, starting at 6 PM. The focus is on the soup table with homemade variations from the village, served with bread, drinks, and musical accompaniment. Later in the evening, the campfire will be lit — the actual solstice accent.

Getting There
By car via the B79 (Halberstadt–Wernigerode), exit Huy/Eilsdorf, then follow signs. By train to Halberstadt, then bus or taxi to Huy-Neinstedt. Parking available in the village.
Admission & Times
Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st, 2026, from 6 PM each day. Free admission, soup contribution through bringing a dish or a small donation.
Families & Dogs
Very family-friendly, cozy village format. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
