School Makes Theater

The Erlanger Schultheatertage is a special festival: for a week, the stages of Schauspiel Erlangen belong to the students. School theater groups from Erlangen and the surrounding area present the results of their creative work to an audience – on a professional theater stage.

From Classics to Original Works

The program is as diverse as the participating groups: it ranges from classic dramas and modern plays to entirely self-developed theater projects. This breadth makes the festival a showcase for the creative energy of young people and gives them the experience of performing in front of a real audience on a proper stage.

Cooperation Between Theater and School

The Schultheatertage is a cooperation between Schauspiel Erlangen and all interested schools in the city and surrounding area. It is part of the theater's commitment to young audiences and theater education. Groups can register starting in December of the preceding year.
