Traditional summer village festival in the Bodenseekreis — a day with the Daisendorf clubs, music, and catering
The Daisendorfer Dorffest is the annual summer event of the small municipality of Daisendorf in the Bodenseekreis. The village, situated high above Meersburg on a hill overlooking Lake Constance, has just under 1,700 inhabitants. For 2026, the village festival is scheduled for July 18, 2026 — the event is listed in the municipality's official annual event calendar as a fixed date.
Village festivals in the Lake Constance region have followed a similar concept for generations: the local clubs — the music association, fire department, sports club, rural women's association — each run a stand and serve visitors regional food and drinks. Live music is performed on a small stage or in front of the town hall (typically: brass band, party band, dance music in the evening). Play areas for children, tombolas, demonstrations — the spectrum is low-threshold and community-oriented.
Daisendorf is located about 470 meters above sea level on a hill north of Meersburg. From the village center, there are views over the vineyards and orchards down to Lake Constance with the Höri peninsula, the Swiss shore, and, in clear weather, the Alps. The region is a classic Lake Constance postcard landscape, but also a genuine cultural landscape — viticulture, fruit growing, small structures, club life.
As everywhere in rural Baden-Württemberg, the clubs are the supporting element of village life. The village festival is the day when the clubs present themselves to the public and work together. New residents, summer guests from guesthouses and holiday apartments, day-trippers from Meersburg — everyone is welcome.
Those who want to experience Lake Constance tourism beyond the postcard-perfect spots (Meersburg old town, Mainau Island, Konstanz old town) will find an authentic format in the Daisendorfer Dorffest. It's small, it's not made for tourists — but that's exactly what makes it interesting. Free admission, reasonable prices.
The Daisendorfer Dorffest is set for July 18, 2026. It is the central summer event of the municipality of Daisendorf, with its nearly 1,700 inhabitants, located high above Meersburg on a hill overlooking Lake Constance. The club structures — music association, fire department, sports club, rural women's association — traditionally organize the stands, and the municipality supports them with infrastructure and permits.
The detailed program for 2026 will be published in early summer on the municipal website. As a rule, Daisendorfer Dorffeste include live music (brass band, later party band), catering at several club stands, a children's program, and a convivial evening conclusion.
Detailed program will be published shortly before the date on the municipal website and in the Daisendorfer Mitteilungsblatt (municipal newsletter).
Free admission. Food and drinks at the club stands at usual village festival prices — small snack €5–8, drinks €2.50–€4.
By car via the B33 or L201 to Meersburg, then 2 km north to Daisendorf — well signposted. Parking available in the village center. By bus: Lines from Meersburg run several times a day.
