In the heart of Bremen, away from the Hanseatic hustle and bustle of the city center, lies the SV Bremen 10 clubhouse at Strandweg 102 in the Huckelriede district. Here, on the west bank of Werdersee, the traditional swimming club, founded in 1910, organizes its summer festival every year. Those coming from the Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke follow Werderstraße, Kuhhirtenweg, and finally Fährweg before reaching Strandweg: a hidden, almost village-like spot in Bremen, where swimming, water polo, and triathlon are at home.

What awaits you at the Summer Festival

The summer festival is not a classic open-air festival, but a lively club celebration that brings the entire SV Bremen 10 family together: active swimmers, water polo players, triathletes, parents, alumni, and friends of the club. The program includes a cake buffet, freshly grilled sausages, a salad buffet, cocktails at the club's own bar, and of course, the popular tombola with sports and non-sports prizes. For children, there are craft stations, a bouncy castle, a water slide, and temporary tattoos.

Campfire on the Werdersee Shore

The club traditionally concludes the evening with stick bread by the campfire, while families and members sit together until the late hours. Sauna rooms, darts, billiards, and the beer garden are part of the clubhouse, as is the swimming area by the lake: a microcosm of Bremen's water sports tradition.
