2nd Summer Rock Festival Roetgen

From the Wine Festival Concept to a Rock Festival

The Summer Rock Festival Roetgen is a new festival format, first organized in 2025 by the Roetgen local committee — as a response to the success of the wine festival held in the same location. The venue is again the Wervicq-Platz behind Roetgen Town Hall, which is ideally suited for open-air events.

Classic Rock in Cover Format

The musical concept is clear: cover bands pay tribute to the great names of rock history. On the 2026 lineup: The Xperience (Classic Rock Tribute), GROENLAND (Herbert Grönemeyer Tribute), MARIUZZ (Westernhagen Tribute), The Quarrymen Beatles, Cocker Inspiration (Joe Cocker Tribute), and a surprise band. The festival aims to attract a cross-generational rock audience.

Donation Model and Solidarity Claim

A special feature of the festival: Admission is free, but donations are welcome — and will go to Fightback against Poverty, an initiative against poverty. Thus, the festival combines the festival character with a clear social purpose. Families, teenagers, children, and older guests are explicitly welcome.

Culinary Accompanying Program

As with the wine festival, the Summer Rock Festival will also feature food stalls from the local committee and participating clubs — dishes from regional and international cuisine, along with draft beer, cocktails, and wine.

Roetgen at the Entrance to the Eifel

Roetgen is the southernmost municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia and is located directly at the entrance to the North Eifel region. With Wervicq-Platz as the central venue and an active club scene, the municipality has developed into a manageable but very lively festival location. The Summer Rock Festival complements the wine festival as the second open-air highlight of the year.
