Following a successful debut in 2025, the Kulturkreis der Gemeinde Roetgen e.V. invites you to the second Sommer-Rock-Festival on September 4th and 5th, 2026, at Wervicq-Platz. Featuring six cover bands, free admission, and a donation-based model supporting Fightback against Poverty—covering everything from Herbert Grönemeyer (GROENLAND) and The Beatles (The Quarrymen) to Joe Cocker (CockerInspiration). A local rock festival at the gateway to the Eifel that blends social commitment with live music.

Second edition of the Summer Rock Festival Roetgen on September 4th and 5th, 2026, on Wervicq-Platz. Six bands — The Xperience, GROENLAND (Grönemeyer Tribute), MARIUZZ (Westernhagen Tribute), The Quarrymen Beatles, Cocker Inspiration (Joe Cocker Tribute), and a surprise band. The second edition of the Summer Rock Festival builds on the successful premiere in 2025. The venue remains Wervicq-Platz behind Roetgen Town Hall. Performance days: Friday and Saturday, from 6:30 PM until late at night.

The cover concept appeals to a broad rock audience: classics from the German-speaking rock scene (Grönemeyer, Westernhagen), English-language classics (Beatles, Cocker), and general classic rock programming. Solidarity aspect: proceeds from donations go to Fightback against Poverty.

Getting There

Wervicq-Platz, Hauptstraße, 52159 Roetgen. By car via the B258 from Aachen or the L238 from Eupen (Belgium); parking is available in the town center. Accessible by AVV bus lines from Aachen. Aachen is approximately 25 km away.

From Wine Festival to Rock Festival

The Sommer-Rock-Festival Roetgen is a fresh festival concept, first launched in 2025 by the Kulturkreis der Gemeinde Roetgen e.V. following the success of the wine festival held in the same space. The event returns to Wervicq-Platz behind the Roetgen town hall, an ideal setting for open-air gatherings.

Classic Rock Covers

The musical concept is straightforward: cover bands paying tribute to the legends of rock history. The 2026 lineup includes: The Xperience (Classic Rock Tribute), GROENLAND (Herbert Grönemeyer Tribute), MARIUZZ (Westernhagen Tribute), The Quarrymen Beatles, CockerInspiration (Joe Cocker Tribute), and a surprise act. The festival aims to appeal to rock fans of all generations.

Donations and Solidarity

A unique feature of the festival: admission is free, though donations are encouraged and go directly to Fightback against Poverty, an initiative fighting against poverty. The festival combines a great atmosphere with a clear social mission. Families, teenagers, children, and seniors are all warmly welcome.
