Christian Youth Music Festival in the Siegerlandhalle — "Feel the Wave of God's Love"
Siegen, with around 102,000 inhabitants, is the district town in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district and home to the University of Siegen. It is located in the middle of the South Westphalian hill country. The city is characterized by its Protestant-Pietist heritage — the Siegerland has been a center of active evangelical free church life for centuries. Against this background, Calvary Chapel Siegen has built up a vibrant youth scene in the city, which now has a major annual highlight with the SHINE Festival.
SHINE Deutschland is a nationwide network of Christian youth work that organizes festivals, conferences, and worship evenings. The concept: contemporary music, large stages, youthful energy — combined with a clear Christian message. The SHINE festivals travel to various German cities; in 2026, the Siegerland region is next.
The motto "Feel the Wave of God's Love" focuses on an emotional, experience-oriented approach. Not a theological seminar, but a concert evening with a worship character: songs to sing along to, stage show, short statements between songs, and a joint worship moment at the end. Those familiar with the format from US mega-churches will find a German, South Westphalian version here — embedded in the architecture of the Siegerlandhalle, one of the region's largest event venues.
The six acts cover a broad spectrum of Christian music:
The Siegerlandhalle on Koblenzer Straße is Siegen's central multi-purpose event hall, with seating and standing room configurations for several thousand visitors. It is usually used for classical concerts, cabaret evenings, large conferences, and carnival celebrations — in 2026, the SHINE Festival will use it for its concert evening with tour-level stage technology.
Calvary Chapel Siegen explicitly positions the festival as a missionary format: church members are invited to bring friends who have had little contact with Christianity so far. The church offers free tickets for these guests — the regular admission price of €20 goes towards the festival's production costs (stage technology, artist fees, hall rental).
The Siegerlandhalle is centrally located in Siegen-Sieghütte. By public transport: 15 minutes on foot from Siegen main station or by city bus. By car: A 45 exit Siegen, then towards the city center; parking spaces around the hall are signposted. Tickets are available via cc-siegen.de and at the church's info point — €20 per person.
A concert evening with a worship character in one of Siegen's largest halls: contemporary Christian music, a grand stage show, and a clearly articulated missionary purpose. Congregations, youth groups, and individual visitors from all over the Siegerland travel for the evening.
Admission €20 per person. Free tickets available for non-Christian guests brought by church members.
