Schweinfurt Christmas Market

From November 26th to December 23rd, 2026, the market square in front of the historic town hall will once again transform into an atmospheric Christmas market. Franconian specialties, vintner's mulled wine from regional wineries, a nostalgic children's carousel, and a Ferris wheel for children will be offered. Festive music from the town hall tower by the brass band of the Schweinfurt Music School will accompany the opening. During the third weekend of Advent, a craft market will complement the offerings. The detailed supporting program will be announced in mid-October 2026.

Opening hours: Thursday to Saturday 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM, Sunday to Wednesday 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM. Festive opening with tower brass band, visit from the Nuremberg Christkind, family day with St. Nicholas, and other Christmas-themed activities. Detailed program from mid-October 2026.

Getting There

The market square is centrally located in Schweinfurt's old town and is reachable on foot or by city bus from the main train station in just a few minutes. Schweinfurt is well-connected to the motorway network via the A70 and A71; parking garages are available in the city center.

Admission

Admission is free. Food, drinks, and rides are subject to a charge.
