Christmas Magic at the Town Hall Square

Right in the heart of the Lower Franconian city of Schweinfurt, the market square is transformed into an atmospheric Christmas market every year during Advent. The festively illuminated backdrop of the historic town hall at Markt 1 provides an impressive setting for the stalls and stands, which are open from the end of November until December 23rd.

Franconian Delights

Culinary delights focus on regional specialties: Franconian treats, bratwurst, and roasted almonds, as well as vintner's mulled wine from regional wineries, invite visitors to linger. The market consciously emphasizes authentic Franconian character and a warm atmosphere.

Program for the Whole Family

A nostalgic children's carousel and a Ferris wheel for children ensure sparkling eyes. Festive music from the town hall tower, performed by the brass band of the Schweinfurt Music School, can be heard at the opening and on other days. Highlights include a visit from the Nuremberg Christkind, a family day with St. Nicholas, and other Christmas-themed activities within the supporting program. During the third weekend of Advent, a craft market complements the offerings.
