Schützenfest Rölsdorf — Tradition since 1877
From July 4th to 7th, 2026, the Schützenbruderschaft Constantia-Rölsdorf 1877 e.V. will celebrate its marksmen's festival in Volkspark Rölsdorf. Four days of festivities around the first Sunday in July — the traditional date for the brotherhood, which has shaped the marksmen's tradition of the Düren district of Rölsdorf since its founding year 1877.
Program — Day by Day
Friday, July 4th, 2026
- 6:30 PM — Meeting of guest clubs in the clubhouse
- 7:15 PM — Departure to the festival tent ("Together to the tent")
- 8:00 PM — "Rölsdorf singt!" with the Raritäten-Band — a sing-along evening with Schlager classics
Saturday, July 5th, 2026
- 1:00 PM — Determination of children's monarchs in the shooting cellar
- 6:30 PM — Meeting at the Queen's
- 7:15 PM — Pick-up of the monarch and her court
- 8:00 PM — "Good-Bye Party" with the band Skylight (farewell to the reigning king and queen)
- Torchlight procession through Rölsdorf
Sunday, July 6th, 2026
- 9:30 AM — Laying of wreaths at the cemetery
- 10:00 AM — Festive service in St. Nikolaus
- 11:15 AM — Determination of the Schülerprinz (youth prince), Prinz (prince), and König (king) with proclamation of the new dignitaries and trophy holders
- 7:15 PM — Reception of the monarchs in the festival tent
- 8:00 PM — Festive crowning of the new king and queen

Constantia — A Club with Hierarchies
The Schützenbruderschaft Constantia-Rölsdorf 1877 e.V. maintains classic marksmen's hierarchies:
- King and Queen — elected through the king's shooting competition
- Prinz — youth marksmen's dignitary
- Schülerprinz — youth marksmen's dignitary
- Children's Monarchs — separate determination on Saturday afternoon
Volkspark Rölsdorf — The Venue
The marksmen's festival takes place in Volkspark Rölsdorf — a park in the Düren-Rölsdorf cityscape, ideally suited for the festival tent, shooting cellar, and accompanying events. The parish church of St. Nikolaus is located nearby and is the venue for the festive service on Sunday.
Düren-Rölsdorf — District in Western Düren
The district of Rölsdorf is a borough of the district town of Düren in the Düren district (North Rhine-Westphalia). With around 6,500 inhabitants, Rölsdorf retains the character of an independent village center with club life, a sports field, a school, and a parish church. The marksmen's tradition is one of the oldest preserved club structures in the district.

Getting There
Düren train station (RE1 from Cologne and Aachen), then bus 230 to Rölsdorf. By car: A4 exit Düren, then B264 towards Rölsdorf. Parking at the Volkspark.
Admission
Parade, torchlight procession, festive service, and public parts are freely accessible. Festival tent admission and King's ball as per organizer.
Tip
Friday evening's "Rölsdorf singt!" with the Raritäten-Band is a highlight of the atmosphere. Sunday morning at 10 AM, the festive service in St. Nikolaus is the sacral highlight. The crowning on Sunday evening at 8 PM is the emotional climax.
