Marksmen tradition in the Westliche Börde

Kroppenstedt is a small town with around 1,200 inhabitants in the Westliche Börde municipality in the Börde district, about 25 km southwest of Magdeburg. Five member municipalities are united in the municipality: Gröningen (administrative seat), Kroppenstedt, Ausleben, Am Großen Bruch, and Hamersleben. Like many villages in the Börde district, Kroppenstedt maintains a lively club scene — and the annual Schützenfest is one of its firmly established festivals.
