Three days of rock, metal, and charity at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
Since 2016, the Rock & Metal Day'z Festival has been the most important hard rock and metal event in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Organized by the non-profit association M.a.De. for Kid's e.V., it is also a benefit festival: proceeds go to children and adolescents with cancer. This makes the festival more than just three loud days — the mix of underground mentality, a clear social mission, and solid programming has forged a dedicated community.
The venue is the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in the Börde district, a racetrack that has hosted motorsports and events for decades. During the festival, the "An den Sieben Bergen" autocross track transforms into an open-air site with a main stage, camping, food trucks, and a merchandise area. The grounds can accommodate up to around 10,000 visitors.
2026 marks the 10th edition — an occasion for a particularly broad lineup. Over 21 bands are confirmed, including US death metal veterans Master, German thrash icons Tankard, gothic metal giants Crematory, thrash heroes Dust Bolt, doom romantics Lacrimas Profundere, and Swiss power metal newcomers Burning Witches. Also featured are Greek thrashers Suicidal Angels — a mix of established names and up-and-coming bands, fairly curated and with clearly affordable ticket prices starting from €84.
Free camping, a family zone, food trucks, laundry service, and a festival that openly describes itself as "by fans for fans": Rock & Metal Day'z has preserved the spirit of the early 90s open-airs. Those who buy tickets here directly finance the association's work for children with cancer — added value not found at major corporate festivals.
