Schützenfest Düsseldorf-Lierenfeld — May Tradition in District 8
From May 15th to 18th, 2026, the St. Sebastianus Schützenverein Lierenfeld e.V. will celebrate its annual Schützenfest. Four days of festivities around the Schützenplatz in the Düsseldorf district of Lierenfeld (District 8) make the Pentecost weekend the highlight of the district's calendar.

Royal Couples 2026
The King and Queen couple 2025/2026 — Carmen and Heiko Jurgasch (crowned on May 17th, 2025) — will conclude their reign. New crowned in 2026 will be, among others:
- Regimental Queen: Carolina Treffon (Ges. Lützow)
- Young Shooters' King: Marwin Jurgasch (1st Grenadiere)
- Pupil King: Tim Ginzel (Ges. Lützow)
- Page King: Fabian Tix (1st Grenadiere)
70 Years of Gesellschaft Lützow
A special note in 2026: The Gesellschaft Lützow, one of the club's shooting companies, celebrates its 70th anniversary during the festival. This gives the 2026 Schützenfest an additional festive dimension.
Lierenfeld — Düsseldorf District in the South
The district of Lierenfeld (approx. 13,000 inhabitants) is located in District 8 of Düsseldorf (North Rhine-Westphalia). Originally agricultural, Lierenfeld was integrated into the city area through urban development in the 20th century. The district retains its village character and close social structures — the Schützenverein is a central institution for identity and community here.
St. Sebastianus — Ecclesiastical Tradition
Like many Rhenish Schützenvereine, the Lierenfeld club is dedicated to Saint Sebastianus — the patron saint of marksmen. The club is part of the IGDS (Interessengemeinschaft Düsseldorfer Schützenvereine) and the BDS (Bund Düsseldorfer Schützenvereine).
Schützenfest Lierenfeld — edition 2026
Four days of Schützen tradition in Lierenfeld: club evening on Friday, festival tent program on Saturday, festival parade and procession on Sunday, king's shooting competition and coronation on Monday. A new regimental queen — Carolina Treffon — was crowned in May 2026.

Düsseldorf Main Station, then S-Bahn S6 or U-Bahn U75 to Lierenfeld. By car: A46 exit Düsseldorf-Eller, then follow Lierenfeld. Parking available in the vicinity of the Schützenplatz.
Admission
Festival parade, procession, and public program parts are freely accessible. Festival tent admission and coronation ball according to the organizer.
Tip
Sunday afternoon (May 17th) is the highlight of the parade — best photo opportunity. The coronation on Monday evening (May 18th) is the emotional climax of the festival.
