Festival in the Schlosspark

Schlosspark Open is the largest free festival in Pforzheim (Pforzheim urban district, Baden-Württemberg state). Organized by Kulturhaus Osterfeld and the Pforzheim Cultural Office with funding through beverage sales and donations, the festival has become a fixture in the Baden-Württemberg festival summer since its inception in 2018. The venue is the traditional Schlosspark in the heart of the "Goldstadt" (Gold City) – a park with old trees, spacious lawns, and ideal open-air acoustics.

Three Days, Three Musical Worlds

The concept impresses with clear daily profiles that cater to every festival-goer:

Friday (Electronica)

On the Main Stage from 5 PM to 11 PM, techno and house producers from the South German scene:

  • Michael Nox — Techno producer from Berlin
  • Stella Muriel — House and Techno
  • Beyond Us — Live Act
  • Marcus Meinhardt — Techno veteran (Riotvan)

Saturday (Live on Stage)

Two stages with indie rock, German pop, and folk:

  • Kapelle Petra — German indie-pop with cult status
  • Paula — German pop newcomer
  • Jonas Gavriil — German singer-songwriter
  • Aftershow party from 11:30 PM

Sunday (Family Day)

Family programming from late morning:

  • Eat, Pray, Love service as a festival format
  • Children's theater and interactive music shows
  • Nathan Evans — Scottish folk-pop star (Sea Shanty „Wellerman")

Food Trucks and Picnic Atmosphere

Three food trucks provide culinary delights for visitors:

  • Rawiels Handbrot — filled flatbread
  • Magic Waffel — waffles
  • Restaurant Comedia — pizza and Swabian specialties

Bar areas and picnic spots are spread throughout the park – visitors can bring their own blankets, but not chairs.

Pforzheim — the Gold City

Pforzheim (~125,000 inhabitants), at the intersection of the Black Forest and Kraichgau, has been the center of the German jewelry and watch industry for over 250 years. Three rivers (Enz, Nagold, Würm) flow through the city, the Schlosspark is centrally located and within walking distance of the city center. Kulturhaus Osterfeld, one of Southern Germany's most renowned cultural centers, is the driving force behind the city's free festival culture as the organizer of Schlosspark Open.
