Three days of festival in the Schlosspark – electronic, indie, and family programming with free admission
Schlosspark Open is the largest free festival in Pforzheim (Pforzheim urban district, Baden-Württemberg state). Organized by Kulturhaus Osterfeld and the Pforzheim Cultural Office with funding through beverage sales and donations, the festival has become a fixture in the Baden-Württemberg festival summer since its inception in 2018. The venue is the traditional Schlosspark in the heart of the "Goldstadt" (Gold City) – a park with old trees, spacious lawns, and ideal open-air acoustics.
The concept impresses with clear daily profiles that cater to every festival-goer:
On the Main Stage from 5 PM to 11 PM, techno and house producers from the South German scene:
Two stages with indie rock, German pop, and folk:
Family programming from late morning:
Three food trucks provide culinary delights for visitors:
Bar areas and picnic spots are spread throughout the park – visitors can bring their own blankets, but not chairs.
Pforzheim (~125,000 inhabitants), at the intersection of the Black Forest and Kraichgau, has been the center of the German jewelry and watch industry for over 250 years. Three rivers (Enz, Nagold, Würm) flow through the city, the Schlosspark is centrally located and within walking distance of the city center. Kulturhaus Osterfeld, one of Southern Germany's most renowned cultural centers, is the driving force behind the city's free festival culture as the organizer of Schlosspark Open.
From June 19 to 21, 2026, Pforzheim's Schlosspark will once again transform into a large open-air festival park for the third time since the pandemic – with distinct daily profiles. Friday is dedicated entirely to electronic music: Michael Nox, Stella Muriel, Beyond Us, and Marcus Meinhardt will perform on the Main Stage from 5 PM to 11 PM. Saturday brings indie rock, German pop, and folk to two stages – Kapelle Petra, Paula, Jonas Gavriil, and other acts will perform, with an aftershow party starting at 11:30 PM. Sunday is Family Day with an "Eat, Pray, Love" festival service, children's theater, interactive music shows, and Scottish folk-pop star Nathan Evans as the headliner. Three food trucks (Rawiels Handbrot, Magic Waffel, Restaurant Comedia) will provide catering, with bars and picnic areas spread throughout the park. Admission is completely free.
