Classical Music in a Brandenburg Hunting Lodge
Königs Wusterhausen is located 30 km southeast of Berlin in the Dahme-Spreewald district. In the town center stands Schloss Königs Wusterhausen — a building once used as a hunting residence by Frederick William I, the “Soldier King.” Today, the palace is a museum and cultural center with an attached Kavalierhaus (equerry’s building) and the neighboring Kreuzkirche (Holy Cross Church), which together form the castle ensemble.
It is precisely this ensemble that the concert series Schlosskonzerte Königs Wusterhausen uses to curate a rich classical program in four different venues between September and October.
