Getting There

Zerbst/Anhalt is located between Magdeburg and Dessau, at the intersection of B184/B187a. Train: RB Magdeburg–Dessau, Zerbst station. Approx. 15 minutes walk from the station to the castle.

Zerbst Castle — Home of a Tsarina

In the state of Saxony-Anhalt, in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, stands Zerbst Castle — the baroque residence of the Princes of Anhalt-Zerbst and the birthplace of the later Russian Tsarina Catherine the Great. Severely damaged in the war, the castle has been restored by the support association for years. The Schlossabende (Castle Evenings) have been the most important event format of the support association since 2005 — combining culture, culinary delights, and castle ambiance.

Format

A Schlossabend is more than just a concert. Guests arrive in the late afternoon, are welcomed in the historic castle, receive a three-course meal (prepared by Rosenhof Ragösen), experience the musical program in between, and end the evening in good company. One event per year, sometimes two — usually in late summer. The format is strictly limited: the number of guests is in the low hundreds, and advance sales go to regular patrons who often secure tickets months in advance.

The 21st Schlossabend on August 22, 2026, will be presented by the duo SchwarzBlond with the program „Intimissimo”. SchwarzBlond is an established German cabaret music combo; „Intimissimo” promises a program blending chanson, pop, and sophisticated conference.
