Modern Wine Festival with Festival Flair
Since the mid-1990s, the RONDO Wine Festival has been one of the most prominent wine festivals in Tauberfranken — and differs from classic wine village formats through its modern festival profile. The organizer is Weingut Benz, based in Walterstal 1, Beckstein. 2026 marks the 31st edition; the festival runs on Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the courtyard and grounds of the winery.
Live Music on Both Evenings
The RONDO hallmark is the combination of wine and concerts. Regional and supra-regional bands perform over the two evenings — from cover bands to rock, pop, soul, and funk combos. The stage is integrated into the courtyard; the audience sits and stands within sight, can switch between wine, food, and stage without losing the thread.
Culinary Delights with a Mediterranean Accent
The cuisine focuses on Flammkuchen — a classic of the German-French-Tauberfranken summer — and is complemented by Mediterranean specialties: antipasti, salads, chicken skewers, pasta. Accompanied by the wines of Weingut Benz: from dry Müller-Thurgau to Riesling and Silvaner, to the Tauberfranken Schwarzriesling and some selection wines. Those who wish can purchase whole bottles directly at the winery's stand.
Beckstein and the Tauberfranken Wine Region
Beckstein belongs to the town of Lauda-Königshofen in the Main-Tauber district, state of Baden-Württemberg. The Tauberfranken wine-growing region is one of the smallest and northernmost in Württemberg, climatically favored by its location in the Tauber Valley. Beckstein is one of the most important wine-growing towns in the district — alongside Königshofen, Markelsheim, Tauberbischofsheim, and Wertheim. The RONDO Wine Festival is one of the established summer events in the Tauberfranken wine calendar and stands in contrast to more classically oriented wine villages such as the Taubertäler Weindorf in Bad Mergentheim.

2026 Program
Weingut Benz is hosting the 31st edition of the RONDO Wine Festival 2026 in its established format. The venue is the courtyard and grounds of the winery in Beckstein. The two festival evenings will feature an integrated mix of concerts, wine, and Mediterranean cuisine.
The bands will be announced in the weeks leading up to the festival on the winery's website and in the local Tauberfranken press. The program line follows the RONDO profile: regional and supra-regional acts, cover and original repertoire from rock, pop, soul, funk — festival flair instead of early morning drinks.

Getting There
Beckstein is located between Tauberbischofsheim and Lauda-Königshofen, in the Tauber Valley. By car via the A 81 (exit Tauberbischofsheim) and the B 290. By train via the Tauberbahn (Crailsheim–Würzburg), Lauda station — from there, bus or taxi to Beckstein.
