Rommerskirchener Oktoberfest — Wiesn Atmosphere in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss

„Auf geht's, pack ma's!" — with this Wiesn motto, the 3rd edition of the Rommerskirchener Oktoberfest starts on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 6:30 PM on the Dorf- und Festplatz in Rommerskirchen. What began as the first edition in 2024 is developing into a permanent fixture in the event calendar of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss: a Bavarian Wiesn experience in the VR Bank festival tent, with selected professional acts and a mix of Rhenish cheerfulness and Alpine atmosphere.

The Program — Mega Band, Wiesn DJ, and Bavarian Specialties

The focus is on live music:

  • STOAPFÄLZER SPITZBUAM — the self-proclaimed mega Oktoberfest band from the Oberpfalz region. They combine folk music classics, Schlager hits, party music, and a "Mia san mia" (we are who we are) atmosphere — one of the most popular bands on the German Oktoberfest scene
  • DJ Marc Pesch — the “Radio-Wiesn-DJ", veteran of the Munich Oktoberfests, and specialist for the right mix of folk music, Schlager hits, and Wiesn classics

Culinary Delights and Games

The Wiesn experience is completed by:

  • Maßkrug-Stemmen — the classic for strong men and brave women
  • Nagel-Schmieden — who can hammer the nail into the wood in the fewest strokes?
  • Bavarian Specialties — schnapps, cheese, pretzels, pork knuckles
  • Gingerbread Hearts with love messages and sayings
  • Candied Almonds from the caramel kettle
  • Beer on tap in the traditional Maß (liter mug)

Tickets and Group Seating

Advance sales are via bz-ticket.de:

  • Standing room: €12 (plus advance booking fee)
  • Seated ticket: €18.90 (plus advance booking fee)

A special feature: All seated tickets purchased under the same name will be automatically placed next to each other. This allows groups, companies, or circles of friends to sit together in advance without having to scramble on-site. Due to high demand, the organizers expect another sold-out festival tent.

Rommerskirchen — the Rural Rhein-Kreis Neuss

The municipality of Rommerskirchen, with its approximately 13,000 inhabitants, is located in the southern Rhein-Kreis Neuss, between Cologne (20 min. by car) and Mönchengladbach (15 min.). Characterized by its rural, down-to-earth atmosphere with farms, stables, and an active club scene, Rommerskirchen is the counterpart to its urban neighbors — and precisely for this reason, the perfect location for an Oktoberfest that emphasizes down-to-earth values and community celebrations. The Dorf- und Festplatz is centrally located in the town center.

Rhein-Kreis Neuss — Between Düsseldorf and Cologne

The Rhein-Kreis Neuss includes, in addition to the district town of Neuss, Grevenbroich, Dormagen, Korschenbroich, Meerbusch, Jüchen, Kaarst, and Rommerskirchen — a diverse mix of business locations (Neuss harbor, Hyundai plant Dormagen), rural communities (Rommerskirchen, Jüchen), and upscale residential towns (Meerbusch, Kaarst). The district benefits from its location between the major cities of Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Mönchengladbach and offers a diverse festival calendar — from historical Schützenfest (marksmen's festivals) to the modern Oktoberfest in Rommerskirchen.
