Shopping Evening in the Amber City

The Shopping Night is an initiative by the retailers and businesses in the city center of Ribnitz-Damgarten, organized by the Ribnitzer Innenstadtverein e.V. Once a year, usually in September, shops and restaurants open late into the evening, inviting visitors for a relaxed shopping stroll in a special atmosphere.

Music and Light Effects

Musicians create a special and relaxed mood around the Rostocker Tor, the St.-Marien-Kirche, the market square, and along Lange Straße to the northern Rosengarten. Light effects and other highlights transform the historic city center into an experience mile. Lange Straße and the market square are closed to car traffic during the event, allowing for an undisturbed stroll.

Free Event with Shuttle

The Shopping Night is a free event with free admission. Free parking is available at Gänsewiese, the Netto market, and Bürgermeistergarten, among other locations; a free shuttle service is sometimes provided. The festival combines trade, gastronomy, and city life, strengthening the city center of the Amber City as a meeting point.
