Two Evenings, Two Worlds

The Ehinger Marktplatz Open Air is a concert weekend that turns the city of Ehingen (Donau) into the concert capital of the Alb-Donau district. Two evenings, two very different acts, one common goal: to present top-class artists against the half-timbered backdrop of the market square. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Swiss band Fäaschtbänkler will be guests, followed by Nena on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Saturday: Fäaschtbänkler — Brass Party from Switzerland

Fäaschtbänkler from Eastern Switzerland have become one of the hottest brass party bands in the German-speaking world in recent years. Their mix of brass power, folk music roots, and party hits creates a grand-scale marquee atmosphere — guaranteed to sell out on Ehingen's market square.

Sunday: Nena — The World from "99 Luftballons" to Today

Nena, one of Germany's most famous singers, brings her world hits to the open-air stage on Sunday evening. From "99 Luftballons" and "Leuchtturm" to songs from her current tour, it's a concert that appeals to multiple generations — from parents who grew up with Nena to young fans who know her from "The Voice Kids."

Ehingen (Donau): A Town Between the Swabian Jura and Upper Swabia

Ehingen (Donau) is located in the Alb-Donau district of Baden-Württemberg, on the edge of the Swabian Jura. With around 27,000 inhabitants, the town is a central hub and a stronghold of beer brewing (Berg Brauerei). The market square, with its half-timbered houses, fountains, and the Frauenkirche, provides an impressive backdrop for open-air concerts and is also used for other events like Kirbe or the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market).
