Christmas Atmosphere in the Amber Town
The Ribnitzer Christmas Market is the central Advent market of the town of Ribnitz-Damgarten, known as the Amber Town on the Ribnitzer See. For one weekend, the inner-city shopping street between Langer Straße and Klosterhof is transformed into a festively decorated Christmas world with music, lights, and a packed programme.

Around 40 stalls offer arts and crafts, gift ideas, and Christmas specialities. The stage features a changing programme of brass bands, choirs, singers, kindergarten group performances, puppet theatre, and a visit from Santa Claus. The Amber Museum offers baking activities, a fairy tale world invites exploration, alongside a nativity play, a fire show, and creative hands-on activities for children.

Ribnitz-Damgarten is located in the Vorpommern-Rügen district in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, at the transition to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula.
