About StWB TEAM Relay
StWB TEAM Relay — edition 2026
The tenth edition of the StWB TEAM Relay will be a city festival with a sporting character. Lord Mayor Daniel Keip will give the official starting signal at 6:30 PM, preceded by the Bambini race, and afterwards, a program with music, catering, a bouncy castle, and team tents awaits all participants at the Packhofgelände. The weather luck seems to favor the anniversary: a mix of sun and clouds is forecast with pleasant 21 degrees Celsius.

Brandenburg runs — and celebrates itself
Since its premiere, the StWB TEAM Relay has become the sporty-social highlight of spring in the Brandenburg an der Havel district. With its 10th edition in 2026, it's a true anniversary event: participants receive a puzzle-shaped medal that only becomes a complete anniversary medal when put together with the other three team members. A nice touch that symbolizes the team spirit.
Route: 5 km Postcard Brandenburg
The circuit starts at the Packhofgelände and leads through the historic old town along the Niederhavel. You'll run over bridges, through narrow cobblestone alleys, and past Renaissance houses. The course is flat and therefore also manageable for beginners. One lap measures 5 kilometers — four teammates take turns at the Packhofgelände.
Bambini Run for the Little Ones
Around 300 Bambini (children) start at 5:30 PM on a child-friendly mini-course — without timekeeping, without competition, but with the unforgettable experience of crossing the finish line in front of a cheering crowd. 100 places are usually free.
Inclusive Relays and Community Spirit
Five inclusive relays are a fixed part of the starting field in 2026. In addition, company, club, and friends' teams dominate — a mix that makes the TEAM Relay the largest sports event in Brandenburg. The official starting signal at 6:30 PM is traditionally given by the Lord Mayor.
Surroundings: Stage, Catering, Team Tents
After the race, a small Volksfest awaits you at the Packhofgelände with live music, food stalls, team tents, and a bouncy castle. The grand award ceremony begins around 8:40 PM — until then, the area buzzes with interaction between professionals, amateur runners, and families. VfL Brandenburg offers training sessions on Tuesdays beforehand at the Friedenswarte.
