Reutlinger Gastro Initiative as the Driving Force
For years, the Reutlinger Gastro Initiative e.V. (RGI) has united the city center's gastronomy under one roof. Their goal: joint activities that enhance the Reutlingen Old Town experience. The Music Night is one of their flagship projects – a format that turns bars, pubs, restaurants, and cafés into live stages simultaneously.
One Night, One Wristband, Many Venues
The concept is simple: on the event evening, present your wristband at the entrance control – granting access to all participating bars and venues. Live bands and DJs play concurrently, with each venue featuring its own musical focus. Stroll through Reutlingen's Old Town from Marienkirche to Marktplatz, discovering music, venues, and meeting spots you might not visit in everyday life.
Musical Diversity
Cover bands, rock combos, jazz trios, acoustic duos, DJ sets – the spectrum ranges from Blues and Soul through Funk to House and Techno. Participating venues coordinate their programs so that different genres are available within a 200-meter radius. Approximately 15–20 live acts per Music Night in total.
A Fixture in Reutlingen's Festival Calendar
Since 2024, the Music Night has established itself as a spring and autumn event. The second autumn edition in 2026 continues this tradition: local businesses meet the urban cultural scene, with both benefiting. Reutlingen, in the Reutlingen district of Baden-Württemberg, gains another permanent fixture in its event calendar – following the Reutlinger Weindorf, Open-Air Cinema, and the Schwörtag ceremony.

One Night, Many Stages
The Autumn Music Night 2026 continues the successful RGI format: around 15–20 Reutlingen bars and venues will simultaneously open their doors for live music. With your wristband, you can move freely between locations, catch snippets of jazz sets, dance to a cover band in the next venue, and end the night with electronic sets in an Old Town bar.
The exact list of participating venues and bands will be published a few weeks before the date on rt-rgi.de. RGI members will receive exclusive pre-sale access.

Schedule September 19, 2026
- from 7:00 PM — Entrance controls open, wristband distribution
- from 8:00 PM — Live program in all participating venues
- 8:00 PM–1:00 AM — Musical stroll through the Old Town
- from 11:00 PM — Late DJ sets in selected venues

Wristband prices will be announced in early September on rt-rgi.de. RGI members have pre-sale access. Based on previous Music Nights, expect prices around €10–€15 in advance, higher at the door.

Getting There
Reutlingen main train station is a 10-minute walk from the city center. By car, take the B28 or B27 from Stuttgart (45 minutes). Parking in the city's multi-story car parks (Tübinger Tor, Listhof) is usually inexpensive or a flat rate in the evenings.
Admission
Admission to the Music Night is via a wristband, available in advance or at the box office – prices and sales points will be announced in the weeks before the date on rt-rgi.de. The wristband grants access to all participating venues.
Food & Drink
Naturally, the participating bars, pubs, and restaurants will offer their regular menus. Reservations are recommended at high-traffic locations.
