The Augsburger swa-Straßenlauf is one of the most traditional running events in Swabia, taking place every spring through the Siebentischwald nature reserve in the south of Augsburg. On a completely asphalted, wind-protected, and absolutely flat course, half-marathon runners compete for fast times, while recreational athletes can participate in the shorter hobby run. Organized by TG Viktoria Augsburg, the run, named after the Augsburg municipal utility company (swa), is considered an ideal course for personal bests and attracts hundreds of participants from all over Bavaria each year. The 40th edition will take place in 2026.

The course is 100 percent asphalted, wind-protected, and absolutely flat – ideal for personal bests. Refreshment stations every approx. 3 km provide runners with water, tea, isotonic drinks, and bananas. Getting There

The start and finish are at Sportanlage Süd, Ilsungstraße 15a, 86161 Augsburg. The Siebentischwald can be reached by public transport via Augsburg's tram and bus network; parking is available in the vicinity of the sports facility.

Registration & Entry Fees

Online registration is via the organizer's website. The half marathon is limited to 800 participants and is usually fully booked early (with a waiting list). Entry fees: Hobby Run €15, Half Marathon €27, Youth €6 each (as of 2026).

Tip

Due to the coveted flat course, early registration is recommended, especially for the half marathon.
