Beer Festival on Ascension Day in Augsburg
The Augsburger Bierfestival takes place at Gasthaus Settele on Martinistraße in Augsburg, Bavaria's third-largest city and an independent city in Swabia. Traditionally, the festival is celebrated on Ascension Day (Christi Himmelfahrt) and is one of the city's fixed culinary dates.
The Triple Tap
At 10:00 am, the triple tap opens the festival: three renowned Augsburg breweries – Hasen-Bräu, Riegele, and Thorbräu – tap their kegs simultaneously. Afterwards, the regional beer varieties can be tasted.
Culinary Delights and Music
The day is divided into three time slots: Weißwurst breakfast from 10 am to 1 pm (musically accompanied by the 4 Hinterberger Musikanten or an Inntaler folk music group), lunch from 1 pm to 5 pm, and evening menu from 5 pm to 8 pm. From the afternoon onwards, the Trio Cortina provides the atmosphere. Regional Bavarian-Swabian specialties are served.
For Families
A children's program with a bouncy castle and pony and carriage rides from Friedel's Shettyzucht makes the beer festival attractive for families too. Tables can be reserved for individual time slots or for all three.

For 2026, the 19th Augsburger Bierfestival is confirmed for Thursday, May 14 (Ascension Day/Christi Himmelfahrt), at Gasthaus Settele, Martinistraße 29.
At 10:00 am, the triple tap with the three Augsburg breweries Hasen-Bräu, Riegele, and Thorbräu begins.
