Ravensburg — the Game Capital

Ravensburg is the headquarters of Ravensburger AG, one of the world's most famous game and puzzle manufacturers — the name "Ravensburger" is internationally synonymous with board games and puzzles. Consequently, the game city of Ravensburg with the festival "Ravensburg spielt" has become a fixed date in the Upper Swabian event calendar. Date 2026: Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 11 am to 6 pm, with an extended game night until 2 am.

Four Game Zones and Three Stages

The city center will be divided into four game zones:

• Board and Dice Games — presentation of new games, tutorials, play-along opportunities at hundreds of tables
• Creative Workshops — crafting, painting, game building for children and adults
• Sports and Movement — outdoor activities, skill games, competitions
• Digital Game Worlds — console games, VR stations, eSports in the town hall

Over the weekend, dance and sports performances, small concerts, and show acts will take place on three stages — many of them involving local clubs.

Giant Puzzle in the Schwörsaal

A special attraction is the giant puzzle in the Schwörsaal of the town hall. Over the two days, all visitors will work together on a puzzle with thousands of pieces — a collective action where everyone can place a few pieces. A tribute to Ravensburg's puzzle tradition.

City of Ravensburg as Organizer

The organizer is the City of Ravensburg (near Bodenseekreis, Ravensburg district, AGS 08436). Free admission to all activities. The city looks for volunteers every year to help run the game stations — anyone interested in participating can contact [email protected]. Exhibitors (game publishers, creative providers) are also welcome.
