The Spring Festival — Season Opener in the Köllertal

The Püttlinger Frühjahrsfest marks the festive season opener in the town of Püttlingen in the Saarbrücken Regional Association. For three days — from Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday — the stage program, market stalls, amusement rides, and gastronomy transform the market square and adjacent streets into a festival mile. The festival is organized by the Verkehrsverein Püttlingen e. V. (Püttlingen Tourist Association) together with Radio Püttlingen.

What to Expect

On the market square stage, live bands, dance groups, and clubs alternate on all three festival days. A classic highlight is the barrel tapping by the mayor of Püttlingen for the opening on Saturday evening. On Sunday afternoon, the Püttlingen town orchestra plays, and children can look forward to face painting and hands-on activities. The event traditionally concludes with a DJ evening on Monday.

Market and Showmen

Parallel to the stage program, a market runs through Talstraße. Showmen with carousels, candy stalls, and snack stands surround the market square. Those looking for local flavor will find Saarland specialties here — from Lyoner and Schwenker to Dibbelabbes.
