When the warm summer evenings arrive, the lake stage in Westfalenpark Dortmund transforms into the city's most beautiful open-air cinema. The PSD Bank Sommerkino runs from July 15 to August 23, 2026 — daily in the late evening in a relaxed park atmosphere, set against the backdrop of the park lake.

Lake Stage — The Unique Open-Air Stage

The lake stage is one of the most charming open-air settings in the Ruhr area. Built on a floating island in the park lake, overlooking the water and the surrounding park, it has been hosting performances for decades — theater, concerts, and summer cinema. The lounging atmosphere on the lawn and grandstand clearly distinguishes the summer cinema from the classic indoor experience.
