"Back to the Beats" — 25,000 visitors in the Westfalenpark
Since 1996, the Juicy Beats Festival has been the summer highlight in Dortmund's Westfalenpark. On July 25, 2026, the event will run under the programmatic motto "Back to the Beats" — a homage to the festival's musical roots and a conscious return to beats and dance floors. Around 25,000 visitors come to the park every year — from midday until late in the evening.
The festival is spread across the Westfalenpark grounds with four main stages and eight dance floors. The musical spectrum ranges from Hip-Hop, R&B, Bass, and Tech House to hits from the 2000s — curated by Musiksyndikat Ruhr, which is also behind Hombruch Unplugged and the booking line for Bochum Total.
A trademark of Juicy Beats is the Silent Disco: Over 5,000 glowing headphones connect DJs with their audience without disturbing the other stages. Three channels, three DJ sets in parallel — the audience chooses what they want to hear. The glowing LEDs on the headphones indicate which channel someone is on.
Unlike commercial mainstream festivals, Juicy Beats explicitly positions itself as a platform for newcomers. The festival organizers emphasize: "Juicy Beats has always seen itself as a festival where many people experience their first festival moment." Confirmed acts for 2026:

The Westfalenpark Dortmund, covering 70 hectares, offers a unique festival backdrop: visitors can move between acts amidst the Florianturm, the lake stage, the rose garden, and old trees in a real park. The concept of a "festival city in the park" distinguishes Juicy Beats from typical meadow festivals and has been its core identity for three decades.
The ticket strategy follows accessibility:
Juicy Beats 2026 opens its gates in the late morning and runs until late in the evening. Four stages spread across Westfalenpark, eight dance floors on the grounds, and the famous Silent Disco make the festival Dortmund's largest pop event.
