Classic City Run in Volkspark Potsdam
The Volkspark Potsdam was created in 2001 for the Federal Garden Exhibition and is now one of Brandenburg's largest urban green spaces. The event meadow serves as the start and finish point for major sporting events — including the annual Prussian Mile.

The 32nd edition of the Sparkassenlauf Potsdam starts on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 4:30 PM in the Volkspark. The late afternoon start time makes the run a classic after-work sporting event in the state capital.
Format — Half-Marathon Relay
The Prussian Mile is run as a half-marathon relay — a historic distance reminiscent of the old Prussian mile. The course leads through the Volkspark and adjacent districts.

The registration deadline is Sunday, June 7, 2026. Registrations are accepted exclusively via the website of Potsdamer Laufclub.
Not to be Confused
The Prussian Mile is clearly distinct from the ProPotsdam Schlösserlauf, which is held concurrently as the 21st edition in Potsdam. Both runs are part of Potsdam's running culture but are independent events with different organizers and courses.

The Potsdamer Laufclub is the largest running club in the state capital and has been organizing the Prussian Mile since 1995.
