Pothead and the Hohenlobbese Myth
Pothead is a Berlin punk-rock band that has enjoyed a loyal fan base since the late 1990s — and decided nearly three decades ago to host their own summer open air in a little-known Brandenburg village. Thus, Potstock was born, one of the most charming mini-festival traditions in Brandenburg: a two-day open air on a meadow in Hohenlobbese, part of Görzke in the Hoher Fläming region. The band handles bookings, production, and the aftershow themselves — Potstock is a family business of the Berlin punk scene.
Potstock 2026 — 27th Edition
The 27th Potstock runs from Friday, June 26, to Saturday, June 27, 2026. The organizers themselves call it “27 Years of Music.” Two days of concerts on the Hohenlobbese open-air stage, followed by an aftershow in the festival tent. The announcement includes:
- Friday, June 26 — from 9 PM: Bradcaster's Westcoast Synthesis (Surf-/Westcoast Rock), Van Urst (Indie/Punk) and Krake.
- Saturday, June 27: Main act Pothead live, followed by an aftershow with DJ Vossi until late into the night.
Hohenlobbese — the Open-Air Village
Hohenlobbese is a tiny part of Görzke in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, in the heart of the Hoher Fläming region. For those familiar with the place names: Görzke is famous for its pottery tradition. Hohenlobbese itself has fewer than 200 inhabitants — but it does have an open-air stage that is known regionally in the punk, indie, and alternative scenes. You can find announcements for the annual concerts at hohenlobbese-openair.de. You can reach Hohenlobbese from Bad Belzig or Ziesar using bus lines 559, 588, and 593 — the bus stop is only 200 meters from the festival stage.
Camping and Festival Atmosphere
Potstock is a small-scale camping festival — many visitors come with tents, others in campers. The atmosphere is friendly and alternative, without sponsor booths and without gloss. This is precisely what makes the festival appealing: a small audience, direct contact with the bands, dancing together at the aftershow with DJ Vossi until sunrise. Prices are moderate — tickets are available from €48.89 in advance.
