About Pfingstfest Zoo Eberswalde
Pfingstfest Zoo Eberswalde — edition 2026
The 2026 Whitsun Festival opens its gates from 12 PM to 5 PM on both festival days. The festival program is included in the regular zoo admission – so families benefit twice: once from the zoo visit and once from the festival program.
The commented feedings offer special insights into animal care. On Sunday, clown Nanü provides joy for children with balloon animals and a colorful interactive program, while on Monday, clown Viola transforms the stage into a musical interactive clown theatre. The soap bubble walk-act will roam through the animal park on both days.

Whitsun at the Zoo
The Eberswalde Zoo is one of the oldest and most popular animal parks in Brandenburg. Spread across approximately 16 hectares in the Brandenburgisches Viertel district of the district town of Eberswalde, the zoo is home to over 1,500 animals of 100 species. For Whitsun, the animal park transforms into a grand family festival – with clown shows, interactive programs, and special animal feedings.
Commented Animal Feedings
On both festival days, you can get up close to the animals during commented feedings:
- 1:00 PM — Wolves in their enclosure (visible from the canopy walkway)
- 2:00 PM — Otters in their habitat
- 3:00 PM — Penguins with herring feeding
Clown Shows and Interactive Program
On Whitsun Sunday, the clown Nanü creates a cheerful atmosphere with a colorful interactive program and conjures balloon animals for the children. On Whitsun Monday, the clown Viola presents a musical interactive clown theatre on stage and additionally delights with a walk-act full of shimmering soap bubbles.
The Zoo in Detail
The Eberswalde Zoo is located in the western city forest of Eberswalde and has been known for its naturalistic enclosures for years. Special features include the canopy walkway high above the wolves, the Canadian otter enclosure, and a petting zoo for children. Admission prices for the Whitsun festival are the same as regular zoo admission prices – the entire festival program is included in the admission.
