About Pfälzer Weinfest

Over the Pentecost weekend, Palatinate vintners transform the Schlossplatz in the heart of Aichach into a cozy wine tavern. Weingüter Jürgen Rummel from Nußdorf and Amselhof from Knöringen will be serving wines from the Pfalz region, along with specialties like Flammkuchen and Saumagen made from regional products. It opens on Friday evening, and continues from Saturday to Whit Monday starting at noon. In parallel, the Aichach Art Mile begins – a delightful city festival in the Wittelsbacher Land in the Aichach-Friedberg district of Swabia.

Palatinate lifestyle in Swabia

The Pfälzer Weinfest Aichach is a firm fixture in the event calendar of the Swabian town of Aichach in the Aichach-Friedberg district. Every year on the Pentecost weekend, the historic Schlossplatz is transformed into a wine tavern, bringing the Palatinate lifestyle to the Bavarian Wittelsbacher Land for a few days. The festival is organized by the Aktionsgemeinschaft Aichach (AGA).

Vintners from the Southern Palatinate

The Palatinate wineries Jürgen Rummel from Nußdorf and Amselhof from Knöringen are responsible for serving the wine. They bring a wide selection of Palatinate wines, from fresh white wines to robust reds. The familiar atmosphere and the personal presence of the vintners contribute to the festival's special charm.

Flammkuchen, Saumagen, and more

Culinary delights revolve around the Pfalz: in addition to wine, there are Flammkuchen, Saumagen, and other specialties made from regional products, including from the "Hüttenzauber" stand. This creates a harmonious overall experience of wine and matching cuisine under the open sky on the Schlossplatz.

Art Mile and City Life

The Aichach Art Mile starts at the same time as the wine festival: artists present their works in shops, banks, and pharmacies in the city center. Thus, the Pentecost weekend combines wine enjoyment, culture, and city life, attracting guests from the entire Wittelsbacher Land.
