Palatinate enjoyment on the Schlossplatz during the Pentecost weekend
The Pfälzer Weinfest Aichach is a firm fixture in the event calendar of the Swabian town of Aichach in the Aichach-Friedberg district. Every year on the Pentecost weekend, the historic Schlossplatz is transformed into a wine tavern, bringing the Palatinate lifestyle to the Bavarian Wittelsbacher Land for a few days. The festival is organized by the Aktionsgemeinschaft Aichach (AGA).
The Palatinate wineries Jürgen Rummel from Nußdorf and Amselhof from Knöringen are responsible for serving the wine. They bring a wide selection of Palatinate wines, from fresh white wines to robust reds. The familiar atmosphere and the personal presence of the vintners contribute to the festival's special charm.
Culinary delights revolve around the Pfalz: in addition to wine, there are Flammkuchen, Saumagen, and other specialties made from regional products, including from the "Hüttenzauber" stand. This creates a harmonious overall experience of wine and matching cuisine under the open sky on the Schlossplatz.
The Aichach Art Mile starts at the same time as the wine festival: artists present their works in shops, banks, and pharmacies in the city center. Thus, the Pentecost weekend combines wine enjoyment, culture, and city life, attracting guests from the entire Wittelsbacher Land.
The 2026 edition of the Pfälzer Weinfest Aichach will take place over the Pentecost weekend, from Friday, May 22, to Whit Monday, May 25, 2026, on the Schlossplatz in Aichach. The Palatinate wineries Jürgen Rummel from Nußdorf and Amselhof from Knöringen will provide the wine service, accompanied by Flammkuchen, Saumagen, and other specialties made from regional products. It opens on Friday at 6 p.m.; from Saturday to Whit Monday, it opens daily at 11 a.m. The Aichach Art Mile starts concurrently. Admission is free.
Aichach is located on the Augsburg–Ingolstadt railway line (Aichach station) and on the B300 federal road. The Schlossplatz is centrally located in the old town, within walking distance of the station.
