Folk Festival in the Wittelsbacher Land

The Aichach Volksfest is the traditional summer folk festival of the town of Aichach. Aichach is located in the Aichach-Friedberg district in the administrative region of Swabia (Bavaria) and is considered the ancestral homeland of the Wittelsbachs – the Bavarian ruling dynasty. The venue is the Volksfestplatz (festival grounds) at Schrobenhausener Straße 17.

Five Days of Festivities

Over five days, from Thursday to Monday, the folk festival offers a classic Bavarian festival program with a large beer tent, catering by the festival host, and an amusement park. Daily changing attractions, as well as new and established showman businesses, ensure variety each year.

Accessible and Family-Friendly

The festival grounds are fully accessible. With family-oriented activities and a broad program, the festival caters to visitors of all ages from Aichach and the surrounding communities.

Meeting Point of the Region

Organized by the City of Aichach together with LANZL Gastronomie GmbH, the folk festival is a social highlight of the summer in the Wittelsbacher Land. Clubs, families, and guests from the entire Aichach-Friedberg district meet in the beer tent and on the festival grounds.
