4th Young and Classic Car Meet of MSC Altenkirchen e.V. on Whit Sunday in Graf-Zeppelin-Straße
The Motorsportclub Altenkirchen e.V. im ADAC is the central motorsport club of the district town in the Westerwald. As a member of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club, it organizes events for motorsport enthusiasts of all disciplines—from slalom competitions and classic car meets to skill driving tests. The Young and Classic Car Meet has established itself as an annual Pentecost fixture since its first edition in 2023 and is growing year by year.
With its 4th edition in 2026, the meet has become a firm fixture on the Westerwald event calendar. The previous editions have attracted interest from all over northern Rhineland-Palatinate, the Siegerland region, and the Cologne-Bonn area—consequently, participation in terms of vehicles and visitors is high.
Vehicles at least 20 years old are eligible to participate. This generous definition includes classic cars (over 30 years old) as well as youngtimers (20 to 30 years old). From the VW Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet to various generations of the Porsche 911, BMW E30/E36, Mercedes W123/W124, Karmann-Ghia, US muscle cars, to classic motorcycles and mopeds—the spectrum is broad.
Graf-Zeppelin-Straße in Altenkirchen will be closed off for the meet and will serve as an open-air exhibition space. The vehicles will be presented in an orderly fashion, allowing visitors to stroll among them, chat with owners, and take photos. Drivers are often available to answer questions about history, restoration, and technical details.
Whit Sunday is ideal for a family outing—many visitors combine the classic car meet with a Pentecost excursion into the Westerwald, a picnic, or a trip into Altenkirchen's town center. Food and drinks, including bratwurst, cake, and beverages, will be available on-site. Admission is free.
The key dates are confirmed:
Participating drivers arrive with their vehicles on Graf-Zeppelin-Straße. Instructions from the MSC Altenkirchen organizing team for placement. Vehicles will be presented in an orderly fashion and by category (pre-war vehicles, post-war classics, 1980s and 1990s youngtimers, motorcycles).
Visitors stroll among the exhibited vehicles, admiring the classics. Conversations with drivers about history, restoration, and technical details. Photos of the most beautiful vehicles. Encounters between classic car enthusiasts.
Catering stands open with bratwurst, steaks, cakes from MSC members' bakeries, beer, coffee, and soft drinks. Families picnic in the surroundings, drivers and visitors enjoy the Whit Sunday sun.
Peak visitor numbers in the afternoon, when families stop by after their Pentecost excursions. Possible special presentations of individual vehicles or small contests (most beautiful vehicle, most original restoration).
Farewell to participants, vehicles depart for home. Cleanup by the MSC team.
