Three-day open-air on the Pentecost weekend with Ray Wilson, Die Lärmer, and arts and crafts market in the Arminiuspark
In recent years, the Parkfestival Bad Lippspringe has developed into one of the most popular free open-airs in the Paderborn district. For three days – always on the Pentecost weekend – the historic Arminiuspark transforms into a stage, a wine garden, an arts and crafts market, and an open-air playground. The mix of live music, culinary delights, and tradition makes the festival a fixed date in Ostwestfalen's event calendar.
The 2026 edition runs from Saturday, May 23rd to Whit Monday, May 25th. The market opens on Saturday at 2:00 PM, and the main stage starts at 5:30 PM. On Sunday and Monday, the festivities begin in the late morning; on Monday, there's an ecumenical service at 10:30 AM and open-air music from 12:30 PM. Admission is free on all three days.
Musically, the 2026 festival covers a broad spectrum. Headliners are Ray Wilson, the former singer of Genesis and Stiltskin, on Saturday evening, and Die Lärmer (the current project of members of the Ostwestfalen band Luxuslärm) on Sunday. In between, there will be tribute acts for Roxette (Saturday), Johnny Cash (Sunday), as well as Spice Girls and Bob Marley (Monday). Other bands like Marleys Ghost and Spice4ever complete the lineup.
For three days, the Arminiuspark becomes a mix of a wine village, beer garden, and Pimm's tent. Local vintners and restaurateurs provide visitors with cool drinks, cocktails, wine, Pilsner, and an international food offering – from bratwurst and burgers to crêpes and vegetarian specialties. Simultaneously, an arts and crafts and medieval market opens with handmade unique items and show stalls.
Bad Lippspringe is a traditional spa town in the Paderborn district – the Arminiuspark is one of Ostwestfalen's most beautiful spa facilities. The Parkfestival uses this backdrop for an extensive family program: a bouncy castle, mobile playground, craft activities, and face painting ensure that the festival is also a great family outing during the day. A combination with a walk through the adjacent Kaiser-Karls-Park or a visit to the castle ruins is recommended.
Bad Lippspringe is located in the Paderborn district on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest. The town is known as a health resort, a location for the 2017 State Garden Show, and a spa town. With the Parkfestival, Bad Lippspringe positions itself once a year as a relaxed festival city with the charm of a small, well-organized Pentecost festival – freely accessible, family-friendly, and with a surprisingly high-caliber selection of bands.
The 2026 edition promises three days of relaxed Pentecost in Bad Lippspringe – with two headliners, several tribute acts, and a bustling market in the historic Arminiuspark. With free admission and shuttle service, the festival is ideal for day-trippers and families from the entire Paderborn district.
Exact stage times and setlists will be published on the festival website.
Admission is free on all three days. Food and drinks at the stalls are subject to charge.
