Free open-air sing-along concert on the Kellenhusen swimming pool meadow
The OstseeFerienLand sings format is one of the most uncomplicated summer concert offerings on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast. The idea is as simple as it gets: a large meadow, a dedicated musician with a band and microphones, a screen with lyrics — and everyone who comes becomes a spontaneous choir. No auditions, no membership, no prior knowledge.
Responsible for the format is Sören Schröder, a musician and entertainer with long experience in animating large groups. His repertoire covers shared feel-good songs: Schlager, oldies, evergreens — mostly in German, supplemented by English classics. The lyrics appear on a large screen next to the stage, so guests who don't have the lyrics memorized can also sing along.
Kellenhusen is a Baltic Sea resort in the Ostholstein district, directly on the Lübeck Bay, located between Grömitz and Dahme. The swimming pool meadow directly on the beach serves as an open-air stage — many beachgoers and holidaymakers spontaneously join in, as the concert is freely accessible. The date on August 19, 2026, falls within the main Baltic Sea season.
The OstseeFerienLand sings concert series will visit several Baltic Sea resorts between Grömitz, Kellenhusen, Dahme, and Sierksdorf in the summer of 2026 — one sing-along concert per location. The concept combines low-threshold holiday entertainment with local roots; the tourism associations of the individual resorts jointly finance the concerts. Admission is free everywhere — a deliberate tourist decision intended to strengthen the image of "OstseeFerienLand" as a family-friendly region.
The 2026 edition in Kellenhusen is part of the OstseeFerienLand sing-along concert series, which will visit several Baltic Sea resorts between Grömitz, Dahme, and Sierksdorf in the summer of 2026. The concept remains the same: Sören Schröder with his band on the swimming pool meadow, a large screen with lyrics, and free deck chairs for the audience.
The program alternates between German Schlager, international oldies, and evergreens — a mix that works across generations. Families with children sing along just as much as older holidaymakers from the surrounding holiday homes.
Duration approx. 90–120 minutes. Free admission.
