Five-day beach music festival in Grömitz on the Bay of Lübeck
The concept of "Sonne, Strand & Sterne" is clearly structured: free daytime program offerings for families, and evening concerts with big names – some free, some ticketed. This division makes the festival unusually versatile and attractive to different target groups. From beach vacationers with children to 90s classic lovers, everyone finds their program item.
Grömitz is one of the oldest and largest Baltic Sea resorts in the district of Ostholstein, with one of the longest promenade stretches in Germany. The Grömitz pier – at 398 meters, one of the longest on the German Baltic Sea coast – forms the maritime landmark. The beach next to the pier provides the natural festival grounds, with an open-air stage directly in front of the Baltic Sea and the pier forecourt as a meeting point.
From Wednesday to Friday, the festival offers a free daytime program: children's programs with mascots like Nilsen or Piet Rakete, sports activities, craft stations, beach games. In the evenings, free concerts follow – in 2026 with LOTTE (Wednesday), Gestört aber GeiL (Thursday), and Max Giesinger as part of the NDR festival (Friday).
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the special highlight takes place: the "Best of 90s" show with 90s classics Oli.P, Rednex, SNAP!, Fun Factory, Captain Jack, Culture Beat, and Special D. Tickets €39 (+ €3 booking fee). On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Clueso performs with his DEJA-VU TOUR (Tickets €59 + €3).
There are only standing spots; stools can be purchased for €5. Children under 6 require hearing protection; those aged 6-16 need adult supervision. Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable. The central beach parking lot at the pier is closed from June 29 to July 7.
The Grömitz Tourism Service has largely announced the 2026 program. The division into free daytime events and ticketed weekend headliners gives the festival its special appeal – a Volksfest atmosphere and established acts come together under a starry beach sky.
