Free family festival on the historic Museumshof
The Museumshof Lensahn is an East Holstein farm museum that brings the rural way of life of past centuries to life — with historic buildings, restored machinery, animals, and workshops. For the annual Children's Festival, the farm is transformed into a spacious play area for families: the historic setting, the wide courtyard, and the adjacent meadows offer space for a diverse program.
Lensahn is a municipality in the district of Ostholstein, located between Oldenburg and Eutin. The Museumshof is one of the most important cultural institutions in the municipality and a popular destination for families from Lübeck, Kiel, and the island of Fehmarn. The Children's Festival is one of the Museumshof's summer highlights and attracts hundreds of families annually from the entire district and the Lübecker Bucht region.
In 2026, the summer festival falls on June 21 — the meteorological start of summer. As every year, the Museumshof uses its historic setting, meadows, and courtyard for a varied family program.
